Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) procedure in Antalya
After numbing the area, your surgeon will make incisions to access the bones and cartilage that support the nose. There are two general techniques for making the incisions: open and closed (endonasal).
Open rhinoplasty gives the surgeon greater access to the cartilage and bone of the nose but it will leave some scar tissue. By creating an incision across the columella (the area of cartilage between the two nostrils) the surgeon can lift the skin off the tip of the nose and shape the cartilage very precisely. When healed, the incision leaves a very small, almost negligible scar on the underside of the nose.
Closed rhinoplasty is generally the preferred procedure because all surgical incisions are made inside the nose, eliminating external scarring. Although the incisions are hidden, the surgeon can still access most of the nose to address a range of cosmetic and structural concerns.
By adding or removing bone and cartilage and adjusting the supporting structures inside the nose, the size of your nose can be reduced or increased and the nose may be shortened or lengthened.
